Lewis Wickes Hine's 'Montgomery, Alabama' (1913) is a gelatin silver print from his landmark documentary series on child labour for the National Child Labor Committee. The photographs helped change American law; the example at the Art Institute of Chicago is held in its early-20th-century photography collection.
