Kinetismus
2022
Kunsthalle Praha, which opened in 2022 in a former 1930s electrical substation in Prague, has made 'Kineticism' — Op art, kinetic sculpture, and light-based installation from the 20th and 21st centuries — one of its central curatorial programmes. Its inaugural exhibition, 'Kinetismus: 100 Years of Electricity in Art', and subsequent shows pair central European avant-gardes with international kinetic and digital-art movements, positioning the new institution as a distinctive node in European contemporary art.
