Infinity Room

To mark its 2017 opening, the Museum MACAN (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara) in Jakarta acquired and permanently installed a version of Yayoi Kusama's 'Infinity Mirrored Room — Dots Obsession', combining the artist's red-and-white polka-dotted inflatable spheres with a mirrored chamber that reflects them endlessly. It was the first Kusama permanent installation in Indonesia and remains one of the very few places in Southeast Asia to experience her immersive rooms, quickly becoming the museum's signature attraction and a cornerstone of Jakarta's contemporary cultural scene.
