Indian Modern & Contemporary
1950s
The core holdings of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) in Delhi — the largest private collection of Indian modern and contemporary art in South Asia — trace 20th-century Indian painting through the Progressive Artists' Group (M. F. Husain, S. H. Raza, F. N. Souza, Tyeb Mehta) and the generations that followed. Rotated between KNMA's Delhi and Noida galleries, the collection functions as a privately held national archive of post-independence Indian visual art.
