A fragment of 16th–17th-century Italian or Spanish silk-and-metal-thread velvet — a piece of the luxurious Baroque cut velvet produced for court furnishings, upholstery, and curtains, often woven with pomegranate, floral, and arabesque motifs in silver and gold threads. It is held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's textile reference collection.
