Clothespin

Claes Oldenburg's 'Clothespin' (1974–1976) — a 14-metre-tall Cor-ten and stainless-steel clothespin — was originally installed in Philadelphia at Centre Square in 1976. The work at the Art Institute of Chicago is a related Cor-ten and stainless-steel version of Oldenburg's career-long translation of everyday objects into monumental public sculpture.
