Pablo Picasso's 'Portrait of Sylvette David' (1954) is one of a large series Picasso made of the 19-year-old Sylvette David in the south of France. Her long blond ponytail and geometric profile — half Cubist, half 'pop' — are drawn in a stark graphic idiom. Oil on canvas, Art Institute of Chicago.
