Still Life Filled with Space
1924
Le Corbusier's 'Still Life Full of Space' ('Nature morte pleine d'espace', 1924) is a Purist still life by the Swiss-French architect and painter. Bottles, pipes, and a book are arranged into a severely geometric composition of interlocking silhouettes — the painterly vocabulary of Purism that Le Corbusier and Ozenfant had launched in 1918. Oil on canvas, Art Institute of Chicago.
