Rosa Bonheur's 'Farm at the Entrance of the Forest' (1860s) is a landscape by the great 19th-century French painter of animals and rural life, who pursued uncompromising naturalism and in the 1850s became the most celebrated woman painter in Europe. Oil on fabric, Cleveland Museum of Art.
