Infinity Mirror Room

One of the celebrated editions of Yayoi Kusama's 'Infinity Mirrored Room — Filled with the Brilliance of Life', produced in 2011. Inside a small mirrored chamber, hundreds of LEDs hung from the ceiling and reflected on a shallow pool of water below expand into a seemingly endless cosmos. Visitors enter one at a time for less than a minute, experiencing the 'self-obliteration' Kusama has described since her childhood hallucinations. The work is one of the signature acquisitions of M+ in Hong Kong and a highlight of its opening collection.
