Kunstmuseum Bonn on the Rhine's Museum Mile was founded in 1947 and relaunched in 1992 in a modernist building by Axel Schultes. Holds 10,000 works including the world's largest August Macke collection.
Macke's Home Museum
Macke (1887–1914), a Blue Rider who died in WWI, grew up in Bonn. The museum acquired 40+ paintings and hundreds of drawings directly from heirs.
