Deutsches Historisches Museum on Berlin's Unter den Linden occupies the 1706 Zeughaus arsenal. Opened 1987 in West Berlin; moved to its unified home in 1991. I.M. Pei's glass annex added 2003. 700,000 objects. Currently partly closed for long-term renovation through the late 2020s.
From Arsenal to History Museum
The Baroque Zeughaus, rebuilt after WWII, became Germany's unified national history museum.
