Jüdisches Museum Frankfurt on the Main opened on 9 November 1988 (50 years after Kristallnacht). Reopened October 2020 with an extension doubling its size. Housed partly in a 19th-century Rothschild family mansion. 15,000 objects spanning 800 years of German-Jewish culture.
From Rothschild Mansion to Memorial
Frankfurt's Jewish community dates back to the 13th century. Otto Frank — Anne Frank's father — was a Frankfurt native and donated family materials.
