The Indian War Memorial Museum inside Delhi's Red Fort documents 300 years of Indian military history. Opened 1947 in the Naubat Khana — a 1639 Mughal music pavilion built under Shah Jahan. The Red Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
From Mughal Pavilion to Army Museum
After the 1857 rebellion, the British turned the fort into military headquarters. Independent India converted the building into an army museum in 1947.

Visiting Tips
