1General Terms
This service ("Museum Map") is a platform that provides information about museums and galleries worldwide and helps users plan their visits.
By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
The service is intended for users aged 14 and above. Users under 14 require parental consent.
The administrator may modify or discontinue the service without prior notice and is not responsible for any resulting damages.
These terms may be updated as needed. Updated terms take effect 7 days after being posted on the service.
2Account & User Obligations
- •Users are responsible for keeping their account information secure.
- •Impersonating others or registering false information is prohibited.
- •Illegal activities or actions that harm other users are prohibited.
- •Unauthorized crawling, scraping, or automated access is prohibited.
- •Violations may result in account suspension or deletion without notice.
3Photo Upload Terms
- •Only photos you personally took may be uploaded.
- •Copyright remains with the photographer, but you grant Museum Map a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the photo within the service.
- •Approved photos may be used across the service (map, search results, detail pages, etc.).
- •Administrators may remove inappropriate photos without notice. Repeated violations may result in upload restrictions.
4Content & AI Services
Museum/artwork information, AI recommendations, and translations are for reference only. Accuracy, completeness, and timeliness are not guaranteed.
AI features use Google Gemini API. The service is not liable for damages from reliance on AI outputs.
User-generated content (reviews, feedback) may be anonymized and used for service improvement.
5Image Sources & Licenses
Museum exterior/interior photos are provided via Google Places API and displayed per Google's terms. These photos are attributed with "Powered by Google".
Museum photos are automatically refreshed every 90 days, with popular museums prioritized.
Artwork images are sourced from open access APIs (Art Institute of Chicago, Metropolitan Museum, Smithsonian) under CC0 (public domain) license.
When using CC-BY licensed images from Wikimedia Commons, proper author attribution is displayed.
If you have copyright concerns about any displayed images, please contact us for prompt resolution.
6Data Sources & Refresh Policy
Museum location, ratings, and opening hours are sourced from Google Maps Platform and refreshed on a 90-day TTL (Time-To-Live) cycle, prioritizing popular museums.
Google Place IDs are stored for each museum to enable data refresh. Place IDs are permanent data allowed by Google's terms of service.
For real-time information, please refer to the museum's official website. Displayed ratings, operating hours, and other data are based on the time of collection and may differ from current information.
7Copyright & Intellectual Property
Intellectual property rights for the design, logo, and software belong to the Museum Map team.
If you have copyright concerns about any displayed images, please contact us for prompt resolution.
Users may only use service content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8Disclaimer
Museum Map is not responsible for actual museum operations. Ratings, opening hours, and other information are periodically updated but may not reflect real-time data. Please check the official website before visiting.
The service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of fitness or accuracy.
The service is not liable for disruptions caused by force majeure or system failures.
Matters not covered by these terms are governed by the laws of South Korea.
